But if you don’t have the budget to paint your entire home, you want to use your paint budget on the rooms that buyers care about the most and will have the most impact, like the kitchen, bathrooms, and master bedroom, for example.

Get staging advice. Staging your home can be a great way to frame the property in a way that appeals to potential buyers. But if you don’t have the money for full-on staging services, look for stagers that offer consulting, and use their advice to stage your home yourself.

Restore your floors. Refinishing hardwood floors isn’t exactly budget friendly. But there are ways to refresh and store your floors that can work with tight budgets. One way to do that is to mop on a water-based polyurethane wood floor restorer. One coat will have your floors looking as good as new, and will also protect the wood from all the foot traffic that comes along with open houses and frequent house showings.
